Earth C-Air – Help for Nepal
In April 2015, Nepal was struck by a devastating earthquake. Over 60,000 people lost their lives and countless thousands were left homeless. Entire villages, schools, hospitals and infrastructure were destroyed.
This event was the catalyst for the founding of Earth C-Air by Dänel Brunner, Bruno Jelk and Gerold Biner.
The three Swiss nationals had already travelled to Nepal several times to train local pilots and flight assistants. This allowed them to build up a local network that would prove to be invaluable.
- • Providing aid in the event of a global disaster, development aid and a commitment to humanitarian support
• Supporting social and medical projects
• Providing training in air and land rescue to mountain rescuers
Over the years, the small organisation has had a considerable impact and achieved great things. In just ten years, it was able to build five school buildings and a hospital in addition to training mountain rescuers.
