On Sunday, 30 March, 538 runners successfully mastered the course of the famous downhill ski run at the 8th Jungfrau-Lauberhorn Run. With perfect weather conditions the runners mastered the entire 4.48 kilometres and 1028 metres in altitude from Innerwengen up to the Lauberhorn start house.

The course

Experience the Silberhorn Jump, Haneggschuss, Kernen-S, Minschkante and Russi Jump from bottom to top.
The fixed time measurement system is open for three hours.    

Start 10.30 h at the finish area of the Ski World Cup races at 1287 m.a.s.l. in Innerwengen,
The start area is approx. 25 minutes on foot from Wengen train station

Finish at the Lauberhorn Downhill start hut at 2315 m.a.s.l.

Distance: 4.48 km
Climb: 1028 metres altitude
Minimum incline: 6°
Maximum incline: 41°
Average incline: 14.2°

Royal Sprint – win CHF 1000.-!

The participant who runs the fastest up the gruelling 110-metre finish slope of the ski downhill race wins a cash prize: CHF 1000 are up for grabs, sponsored by the Wengen-Männlichen aerial cableway.

Two 1000-franc notes are attached with clothes pegs to the gate flags at the end of the finish slope – one on the right for the fastest male, one on the left for the fastest female sprinter.

Please note: to win the sprint classification, participants MUST cross the finish line on the Lauberhorn. Anyone who acts in an unsporting manner, resorts to inadmissible means or deliberately obstructs opponents will be disqualified. The two genuine 1000-franc notes will be presented at the victory ceremony.

Award ceremony in Wengen

from 14:30 hrs

The victory ceremony, prize giving and pasta party are held behind the Tourist Center in Wengen.

Prizes will be given to:

  • Need4Speed: First to third places in each category
  • The Run4Fun participant whose finish time is closest to the average finish time of all participants in this category
  • The two winners of the sprint (cash prize)
  • The best costume in the Dress4Success category
