All participants benefit from free 2nd class travel on public transport from their place of residence in Switzerland or nearest Swiss railway station to Interlaken and back (validity area of GA Travelcard).
Registered runners will receive the personal start card and two coupon codes on 10 August by email. They can use both coupon codes to book two free public transport tickets for the journey to and from Interlaken only through the SBB online web shop or at a ticket counter.
These tickets cannot be booked through ticket machines or the SBB app.
On the return journey, the Swiss Runners Ticket is only valid when presented together with your Jungfrau-Marathon race number.
Take your two coupon codes (one for the outward journey and one for the return journey) and your confirmation email from the Jungfrau-Marathon to your nearest ticket counter and give them to the counter staff. They will book the journey you want and issue the public transport ticket to you directly.
Click on this booking link to redeem the first coupon.
Book your ticket for the return journey separately in a second process.
1. Click on "To the timetable".
2. Choose your your boarding railway station (e.g. from place of residence or airport in Switzerland) to Interlaken.
(Interlaken Ost is the nearest railway station to the start.)
3. Enter the day of your outward journey and the time you would like to travel.
4. Click on the desired connection and confirm it by clicking on «Tickets from CHF xx.xx».
5. Select the following travel options:
"Single journey" (not Return Journey!),
"2nd class" and
make sure to select "Point-to-point" ticket (not "saver ticket").
Confirm by clicking on "Continue".
6. Book your ticket "Purchase as a guest" or with your Swiss Pass "Sign in".
As a guest: Fill in the required personal details and click on "Accept".
If you have a Swiss Half Fare Travelcard select this, otherwise select "No discount".
("Please do not select "add more passengers".)
If all details are correct, click on"Continue".
You may be asked again for the ticket type, select "Point-to-Point Ticket" and confirm by clicking on "Continue".
7. Enter your coupon code in the means of payment. The code is only valid once.
Please note that the code must be entered correctly (upper/lower case and letter/number com-binations).
and click on "Redeem".
The total amount in the shopping basket on the right-hand side will now be discounted to CHF 0.
8. Cumplete the process by clicking on «Buy now».
9. The confirmation of purchase can be presented electronically; you do not have to print it out.
The ticket is usually displayed in the order confirmation email itself or you will receive a link to download it.
